Learning Through Technology
CSUN Graduate and aspiring IT professional, Ryan Schumacher is a Production Analyst learning new systems and software each day. No matter what the new project will be, Ryan looks to learn and utilize any new skills he can earn.
Ryan Schumacher is beginning his professional journey with a handful of skills to back himself up. He focuses on Windows and Linux operating systems with an emphasis on server infrastructure and virtualization.
In an effort to continuously learn, Ryan works on a homelab to experiment with new and familiar services.
A homelab is whatever you make of it in order to help oneself learn new software or hardware, create practice scenarios, or simply enjoy as a hobby.
Documenting in the IT world is essential in order to keep track of something that was troubleshooted months ago, days ago, or even yesterday. Ryan uses Obsidian in order to create core documentation of his services and uploads it to GitHub.
Obsidian is a markdown editor that he personally finds allows for nice viewing of images and command line code. See the links on the right to take a look at his current documentation.
